One small volume in-8°, full red morocco, gilt fillet on covers, ribbed spine, gilt title, gilt edges, dominot paper endpapers (period binding). Miniature edition of the famous Ordonnance d'avril 1667, which reformed and unified civil procedure, hitherto characterized by an infinite variety of local practices. This was the first major ordinance of Louis XIV, and was the brainchild of Colbert. It is commonly referred to as the Code Louis or the Civil Code. (clasps missing)
