IMPORTANT BIDJAR (Persia ) Midnight-blue field decorated with scrolls and garlands of a thousand stylized flowers in the form of exploded diamonds, adorned with a large central polylobed ruby, ivory and pale green rosette with a crown of starry flowers. Four parma spandrels with floral bulbs finely drawn in polychrome. Seven borders, the main one in ruby with multicolored cartouche semis inlaid with flowering palmettes. Wool velvet on cotton foundation. Late 19th century 498 x 352 cm (Careful restoration, some oxidation and light natural wear) (as is)
